Hi Members, we would like to reintroduce our Youth Foundation for members who might not be familiar with it or who might want to learn more. We have a generous member who wanted to make sure that if a young Brittany owner wanted to participate in a sport with their Brittany but needed some financial assistance to be able to do it, they could apply for that assistance through our Youth Foundation. The financial assistance can pay for training classes, equipment, entry fees, travel expenses, gear, etc. Now currently we have an additional way for a young person to become involved in Brittany sports. We have two Brittany breeders in our club who will donate a puppy to a young person to help them fulfill their dream of owning and competing with a Brittany. The young person just needs to be between 8 and 18 years of age and willing to take on the responsibility of owning and caring for their Brittany. Click for more details and application. The Mid-Florida Brittany Club has been in existence for over 30 years and is an affiliate of the American Brittany Club. We are immensely proud of our club, our dogs, and our members. We actively promote the breed by organizing hunt tests, field trials, specialty shows, and other various activities. Our goals are to encourage friendship and cooperation among both owners and breeders while maintaining the highest standards in breeding, training and showing. Finally, we are committed to keeping the Brittany forever a dual dog, and strongly discourage the breed from splitting between "field" and "show" lines.
But enough about the club, let's talk about the dogs! We believe this breed is perfect in every way; whether you enjoy hunting, showing, tracking or performance events such as obedience and agility, or are just looking for a companion to share your couch, go on car rides and long walks with. Incredibly smart and willing to please, the Brittany is capable of anything. Ideally sized around 30-40 lbs., the Brittany is a healthy, happy, beautiful best friend.
Whether you're new to the breed or new to our area, already a Brittany enthusiast or returning after some time away, we extend a warm welcome and invite all you Brittany fanatics in Florida to join our club...the more the merrier!
